Really like this sleep sack! The arms up while still feeling swaddled got us through the bassinet to crib transition and beginning of sleep training. We did have to take the arms off at 7 weeks because she was getting so close to rolling over and that just made me nervous. I also don’t agree with the weight sizing - I had to go up to 3-6 months when she was 12lbs even though the 0-3 month size is supposed to reach 13lbs. That’s my only complaint! Love that it’s breathable cotton and the design. Will probably get more as she grows!

My son born 5lbs after 3 weeks old hated to be swaddled. So was recommend to try this. But was was not 7lbs until he was just over 5weeks. So I finally tried this product. Great quality, but my son still did not like the arm constraint so I removed, but he still did not like it. I waited til he was 9lbs then tried without the arms again. I do see it helps a bit. Perhaps if your child is born over 7lbs and you use the product starting in hospital or at least immediately at home you may get better results.

Once our 6-week old switched to this swaddle, he started consistently giving us 3-4 hours at the beginning of the night. The only issue I have is that his arms don’t fit in the part intended for the hands-up position — maybe he has long forearms? Hoping this lasts a little longer so he can transition to arms out before we have to purchase the next size up.

I’m so happy I discovered Nested Bean! I was struggling with getting my little one down for naps. I’d get him rocked to sleep and then when I went to lay him in his crib he’d jolt awake. With this new swaddle I don’t have nearly as many issues with this as I did before using it. The weight really helps with transitioning him onto his bed. Even if he stirs, he’s much easier to get back to sleep because of the weight of the swaddle. Recommend to anyone who has this issue!

Love this sleep sack/swaddle. While my 1 month old still wakes up in it, he seems to have an easier time calming back down. The arm pieces were a little small for him, but his arms are pretty long. I don't know if I'm going to go with a sleep sack or another zen swaddle for the next size. I think it's worth a try and worth the investment.

These are really nice quality. I was hoping to use this to transition my son out of a swaddle since he loves to have his hands up toward his face- unfortunately his arms aren’t even close to fitting in the “wing” area. I just zipped them off and he has been tolerating a 7-8 hour stretch at nighttime between feedings at 7 weeks old. I think this product needs a bit of an adjustment but overall we still love the nested bean sacks.

I JUST got this in the mail today, he's had two naps with this and already there's such a difference! He always manages to get his arms out of my swaddles, no matter how tight and loves to sleep with his arms up by his head. But he startles himself awake A LOT. Those little wings are freaking perfect for the way he likes to sleep! They keep his arms from flailing and waking him up but allow him to sleep in the position he prefers. Customer service is absolutely fantastic. We originally bought the 0-3 month based on our babies weight, but she ended up being too tall & needed a size up. They shipped out the next size up right away which was super helpful. The weight in the product was still a proper ratio for her based on our research, so we felt ok to use it for supervised sleep at first, and have now been using it at night.
The removable mesh sleeves have really helped us with transitioning her out of the swaddle stage, and she just slept a 9 hour stretch after about a week. She still has difficulty connecting her sleep cycles when napping, but we are very grateful she is starting to turn around her night time sleep.
Was very nervous about using a weighted product, but after doing some research, we felt that this particular product was safe. Also washes well & the material is really nice. We are hoping we have continued success with the Zen One & can successfully buy the Zen Sack when she is ready!

Because my daughter likes to sleep with her arms out and up and to suck on her hands etc I thought this would be a good alternative as it allows them to still get their hands to their mouths etc..
However, she doesn't sleep any better than with any other wrap, feels like an expensive alternative at this point. Also, the bottom of this doesn't unzip in a way that you wouldn't wake them for a diaper change if needed because you still have to pull their legs out.
The material is nice and thick tho which is nice.

My daughter liked being swaddled for approximately the first week of her life. After that, she actively started attempting to escape them (and usually succeeded), screamed while we swaddled her, and had to be consoled afterwards. We wanted to stop swaddling, but her startle reflex doesn’t make that feasible. Once she learned to free her arms from the Halo swaddle, I looked into the Nested Bean on the suggestion of a friend of a friend. The Zen One is magic! It’s easy to use and the material is soft but sturdy. The mesh sleeves make escaping impossible, but my daughter doesn’t seem to mind at all. I think having a little mobility is exactly what she wanted. Bedtime is no longer a struggle. The only downside was that shipping isn’t as fast as they claim. It didn’t ship the next business day, the label was just printed then. It took so long to receive that my daughter won’t get as much use out of it as I’d hoped, something that I’ll keep in mind when I order her next one.

For those with very active newborns (us) I was alarmed to find that the band was up around her neck when I checked in on her. That happened when I put her arms in the band so we have only used that around her waist since then. Then the band seemed to be kinda pulling down her diaper a bit.

I bought this swaddle like most of us, hoping to get better sleep for my son and myself. However, I know enough not to put all my eggs in one basket so when I didn't get better sleep in 1 to 3 nights I wasn't entirely surprised.
The main reason I chose this swaddle was the versatility. I love that it can be worn with arms up, down,transition and sleeveless. My son personally required arms down to deal with his startle reflex. This swaddle worked fine for that but he was able to get out of that arms down position a number of times as well.
The weighted beans part is a nice touch. In general, the swaddle is well made and comfortable. I wish there was a size up. The swaddle just fit my 3-4 month old with little to no room for growth which is disappointing given the higher price tag. All in all it would be an excellent swaddle if the goal was achieved but otherwise a very versatile, quality swaddle nonetheless.

Ordered this when my son was 3 months old, It took a while to get here, and he has used it a few times. It is quite snug on him so I am not sure we will get many uses out of it. The swaddle was a lifesaver when he was smaller. I also had ordered the sleep sack a while back, so he has been using that more since it is a tad looser. He usually likes the compression, but this one seems a little too snug for him. Maybe we will do onsies in the future.

With this new swaddle I don’t have nearly as many issues with this as I did before using it. The weight really helps with transitioning him onto his bed. Even if he stirs, he’s much easier to get back to sleep because of the weight of the swaddle. Recommend to anyone who has this issue!

These are really nice quality. I was hoping to use this to transition my son out of a swaddle since he loves to have his hands up toward his face- unfortunately his arms aren’t even close to fitting in the “wing” area. I just zipped them off and he has been tolerating a 7-8 hour stretch at nighttime between feedings at 7 weeks old. I think this product needs a bit of an adjustment but overall we still love the nested bean sacks.

I JUST got this in the mail today, he's had two naps with this and already there's such a difference! He always manages to get his arms out of my swaddles, no matter how tight and loves to sleep with his arms up by his head. But he startles himself awake A LOT. Customer service is absolutely fantastic. We originally bought the 0-3 month based on our babies weight, but she ended up being too tall & needed a size up. They shipped out the next size up right away which was super helpful. The weight in the product was still a proper ratio for her based on our research, so we felt ok to use it for supervised sleep at first, and have now been using it at night.
The removable mesh sleeves have really helped us with transitioning her out of the swaddle stage, and she just slept a 9 hour stretch after about a week. She still has difficulty connecting her sleep cycles when napping, but we are very grateful she is starting to turn around her night time sleep.
Was very nervous about using a weighted product, but after doing some research, we felt that this particular product was safe. Also washes well & the material is really nice. We are hoping we have continued success with the Zen One & can successfully buy the Zen Sack when she is ready!

Because my daughter likes to sleep with her arms out and up and to suck on her hands etc I thought this would be a good alternative as it allows them to still get their hands to their mouths etc..
However, she doesn't sleep any better than with any other wrap, feels like an expensive alternative at this point. Also, the bottom of this doesn't unzip in a way that you wouldn't wake them for a diaper change if needed because you still have to pull their legs out.
The material is nice and thick tho which is nice.

My daughter liked being swaddled for approximately the first week of her life. After that, she actively started attempting to escape them (and usually succeeded), screamed while we swaddled her, and had to be consoled afterwards. We wanted to stop swaddling, but her startle reflex doesn’t make that feasible. Once she learned to free her arms from the Halo swaddle, I looked into the Nested Bean on the suggestion of a friend of a friend. The Zen One is magic! It’s easy to use and the material is soft but sturdy. The mesh sleeves make escaping impossible, but my daughter doesn’t seem to mind at all. I think having a little mobility is exactly what she wanted. Bedtime is no longer a struggle. The only downside was that shipping isn’t as fast as they claim. It didn’t ship the next business day, the label was just printed then. It took so long to receive that my daughter won’t get as much use out of it as I’d hoped, something that I’ll keep in mind when I order her next one.

We loved the Zen sleep sack! We got it after transitioning out of the swaddle at 8 weeks and love the arms up option. At 11 weeks, we removed the arms and now are in the sleep sack. It was so nice that this sack can be a swaddle, transitional, and traditional sack! The weighted part is the perfect amount and mimics a parents touch well. Not too heavy at all. JUST fits my 4 month old and she’s not particularly big for her age. Don’t see how this will fit her at 6 months. She hated having her arms up in the zippered sleeves and the swaddle doesn’t keep her arms contained. So pretty much useless until we can transition her to a wearable blanket and then hopefully we can get use out of it. Not worth the money in my opinion.

For those with very active newborns (us) I was alarmed to find that the band was up around her neck when I checked in on her. That happened when I put her arms in the band so we have only used that around her waist since then. Then the band seemed to be kinda pulling down her diaper a bit.

I have a 3-6 mo sack and my son just turned 4 mo so the sizing is correct i don’t know if it’s the quality of material that sucks or I probably got a defected one. I bought this swaddle like most of us, hoping to get better sleep for my son and myself. However, I know enough not to put all my eggs in one basket so when I didn't get better sleep in 1 to 3 nights I wasn't entirely surprised.
The main reason I chose this swaddle was the versatility. I love that it can be worn with arms up, down,transition and sleeveless. My son personally required arms down to deal with his startle reflex. This swaddle worked fine for that but he was able to get out of that arms down position a number of times as well.
The weighted beans part is a nice touch. In general, the swaddle is well made and comfortable. I wish there was a size up. The swaddle just fit my 3-4 month old with little to no room for growth which is disappointing given the higher price tag. All in all it would be an excellent swaddle if the goal was achieved but otherwise a very versatile, quality swaddle nonetheless.

Ordered this when my son was 3 months old, It took a while to get here, and he has used it a few times. It is quite snug on him so I am not sure we will get many uses out of it. The swaddle was a lifesaver when he was smaller. I also had ordered the sleep sack a while back, so he has been using that more since it is a tad looser. He usually likes the compression, but this one seems a little too snug for him. Maybe we will do onsies in the future.
